A text from DHL/customs asks for a tiny fee. The payment page collects your card details and a 3-D Secure code. Instead of €1.99 the card is charged hundreds — or added to a mobile wallet. Warning signs: A tiny amount used as bait; Link domain does not belong to the carrier; Card details requested for a 'fee'; Push approval for an unknown merchant. What to do: Block the card, request a chargeback and check the wallet entries in your banking app. Typical loss: 100–2.000 €.
