A known supplier reports 'new bank details'
An email in the familiar layout announces a changed IBAN. The next invoice is paid to the new account — the real supplier never sees the money. Often a mailbox was compromised first. Warning signs: Account change announced by email; Sender domain slightly altered; Pressure to pay the invoice immediately. What to do: Contact your bank at once (SEPA recall), verify with the supplier by phone, report it and secure the mailboxes. Typical loss: 1.000–100.000 €.
