Around Black Friday, Austrian authorities warn about social media ads leading to fake shops or subscription traps. Buyers pay by card and nothing is delivered. Warning signs: Ads only on Instagram/Facebook, no real shop; Countdown timers and 'today only'; No imprint, or one outside the EU. What to do: Block the card or file a chargeback, report it and keep a screenshot of the ad. Typical loss: €30–€500.
